Since his teen years, Toronto designer Andy Thomson, 36, has been passionate about minimal living. Later on, he and his wife lived in a Volkswagen van until their first child came along, and then, instead of doing the standard Toronto thing and moving into a house, they just got a bigger van.

New Affordable Rental Housing Goes Green in Halifax

HALIFAX, March 24, 2007 — Halifax residents will soon be moving into new, affordable, energy-efficient homes in Fairview. Twenty-three units of affordable rental housing have been built at 37 Main Ave. through the Canada – Nova Scotia Affordable Housing Program Agreement.
